Why do you need a T-mobilitat card?
T-mobilitat is a new generation smart card used in Barcelona’s public transportation system and its surroundings. Replacing the old magnetic tickets, this card makes your travels easier, faster, and more economical. It has a similar working principle to our Istanbul Card.

Types of T-mobilitat card
Personalized Card (Personalitzat) Who It’s For: Residents of Barcelona or long-term visitors. Includes the cardholder’s first and last name. Can be renewed in case of loss or theft. Provides access to all rates (T-usual, T-jove, etc.).
Anonymous Card (Anonim) Who It’s For: Short-term visitors or tourists. No personal information required. Cannot be renewed if lost. Access to limited rates (typically T-casual and T-familiar).

T-casual
Features: 10 journey rights, single person use.
Validity Period: Valid for 1 year.
Who It’s For: Occasional public transport users.
T-usual
Features: Unlimited travel for 30 days.
Who It’s For: Daily public transport users.
T-jove
Features: Unlimited travel for 90 days for young people aged 16-30.
Advantage: More economical compared to standard rates.
T-familiar
Features: 8 journey rights, can be used by multiple people.
Validity Period: Valid for 30 days.
How to get a T-mobilitat card?
Online Application
Step 1: Go to the T-mobilitat website.
Step 2: Click on “Registra’t” (Register).
Step 3: Enter your personal information: Name and surname Date of birth Passport or ID number Contact information (email and phone)
Step 4: Pay the card fee (4.5 €).
Step 5: Choose delivery method: You can have your T-mobilitat card sent to your address or pick it up from sales points.
Purchasing from physical sales points
Step 1: Go to one of the authorized sales points in Barcelona: TMB (Barcelona Metro) customer service offices FGC (Catalonian Railways) stations Specific bus and tram stops
Step 2: Bring the necessary documents: Passport or ID card
Step 3: Fill out the application form and pay the card fee.
Step 4: You can receive your card immediately or get information about picking it up within the specified period.
Anonymous T-mobilitat card
You can purchase anonymous T-mobilitat cards from automatic machines at metro stations or authorized sales points. No personal information or photo is required. You can start using it immediately after paying the card fee.

Top up your T-mobilitat card
Online top up
Log in to your account through the T-mobilitat website or mobile application.
To load your card, it will ask you to bring your NFC-enabled card close to your phone.
Click on the Load Ticket option and select your desired rate.
Complete the payment process.
Physical top up
You can top up your card using the ticket machines at metro stations. Simply place your card on the reader and follow the instructions to complete the top-up.
T-mobilitat NFC Feature
For a long time, you could use your phone to pass without carrying the card with you with the T-mobilitat Android app. With the latest update, you can now use the NFC feature in the iOS app. All you have to do is download/update the app and complete the purchase using the Mobile tab in the app. You have to pay an additional €1 for this transaction, one-time.
Where can you use your T-mobilitat card?
For metro, tram, and buses, simply hold your card close to the reader. When the classic green light appears, it means your card has been successfully read and you can proceed. On buses, we scan our cards on the green readers behind the driver, not the ones next to them.
